With ECONO-CREASE scoring, the quality is equal to or better than other scoring methods, including letterpress, RollemTM, and Roto-CreaseTM.

• Letterpress: Great quality (about the same as ECONO-CREASE), but a whole seperate operation&emdash; TOO EXPENSIVE AND TIME CONSUMING!

• The differences between a Rollem inline machine and the ECONO-CREASE are: 1. Set-up time with ECONO-CREASE is much shorter. 2. Rollem can do a strike-perf; and ECONO-CREASE can't. 3. A Rolem inline costs over fifteen times the cost of an ECONO-CREASE, and takes up a massive amount of floorspace! Again: an ECONO-CREASE score is equal to or better quality than a Rolem score. Paper register is the same.

• If you need a strike-perf, and can afford it, we recommend either Rollem or a Dick Moll Perf-N-Crease (the latter is a better value).

• Nygren-Daley and other older stand-alone scoring-perforators: ECONO-CREASE score quality is far superior than these older machines are capable of producing. Like letterpress, they also require a totally seperate operation, which adds significantly to the cost.

• There are other companies making similar scoring attachments for folders. However, they often do not include all deflector hardware needed to make the unit perform optimally. Since we include all deflectors and all basic accessories, ECONO-CREASE is more economical and is ready to run when you get it. Also, Bind-Graphic score dies are made to the correct proportion for the intended paper thickness. (See diagram A on Score Wheel Info page.) Some other's score wheels do not allow enough width in the female score; which produces too much of a crush score. Solid coverage stocks baked in web ovens may crack badly with such score wheels. Our score widths are more similar in proportion to actual matrix letterpress scores. Most solid coverage coverstock stock will not crack at all with ECONO-CREASE!
